ABATE of Arizona Chapter Report - East Valley

Hello everyone.

I hope that you all had a great time at the "Too Broke for Sturgis Rally" this year. I also hope that you all had a safe trip back to where you rode from. The weather up there was just beautiful, rained a lot Friday as most of you were riding in but tapered off quickly. I hope a lot of you enjoyed it as much as I did.

Congratulations to "Miss Too Broke 2010!" Her name is Jewel and she is from California. Hope that she is having fun with her new title as "Miss Too Broke." She will represent us well over there. We are looking forward to seeing her next year. Thanks to all the venders that contributed to her prize give-a-ways that you donated, and that it will now become a new tradition for the years to come, as well as, to A.B.A.T.E. of Arizona for giving her a year’s membership.

I heard that we did well this year with the participation of riders that showed up for the event and hope to see it grow more each year. Also, thank you all that helped out with various volunteers for this event. Pat yourselves on the back. Good job, well done.

I had a great time as last year’s "Miss Too Broke 2009." It was fun to use that position for the promotion of the event itself (Too Broke for Sturgis), and to promote other events that A.B.A.T.E. held throughout the year of 2009. My favorites were the Motorcycle day at the Dome (Luncheon on the Lawn) and Motorcycle Awareness days held at local schools for the children and their parents to help them be aware of us out there on the road. And those are just to name a few.

Thank you all my friends and fellow bikers, as well as, my family for all the love and support that you gave me as Miss Too Broke. I appreciate you all

If you have pictures from Too Broke send them in to themasterlink@abateofaz.org to share them with the rest of us. Thank you.

I have nothing else to report at this time. Till next time ride safe and keep yourselves hydrated in this summer heat. Cha!
